Domestic Violence DV Awareness & Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is officially the month for PURPLE 💜 hearts and PINK 🎀 ribbons.  Wearing PURPLE 💜 in remembrance of victims and survivors of Domestic Abuse. I myself am a survivor & advocate of Domestic Violence and Narcissistic Abuse. There are many forms of abuse that aren’t physical, and that’s why many victims are unaware they’re being abused. Emotional, Mental, Verbal, Financial abuse is still ABUSE. It’s COVERT ABUSE that’ll eventually lead to victims being physically harmed. About 80% of victims are killed in attempts to leave a relationship of an abusive intimate partner. October is also the month to shed light on the importance of Mammograms for Breast Health. A mammogram is an X-ray of the breast, and is the best way to find breast cancer early. Wear PINK 🎀 in celebration those actively fighting breast cancer, and survivors who’ve won the battle. 90% of women diagnosed has the survival rate of 5yrs after diagnosis. Black women are more likely to catch breast cancer aside from any other ethnic group. Please join against this battle of cancer and help spread awareness about silent victims of DV. I urge you donate to both causes; the links are below:
